Place: The Dolphin Leisure Centre, Haywards Heath. Meet in the foyer for the run.

Format: 1 hour run followed by a 1 hour coached swim session

Approximately 1 hour run usually including some sort of interval training.
1 hour coached swim session in the pool at the Dolphin Leisure Centre, Haywards Heath. A session based purely on improving overall swim technique and efficiency. Coaching by an experienced member of Haywards Heath swimming club.
We have 3 lanes booked from 20:30 until 21:30 for club use.

This is the main club session and is followed by a couple of drinks and a chat in the bar afterwards.

We have a second swim night at Ardingly College Swimming Pool on Tuesday evenings from 6th September at 20:00 - 21:00 and go until 27th march 2012. We have the whole pool, split into four lanes.  There is no extra charge beyond normal swimming subs if you wish to swim in the uncoached lane but there may be a small charge (£3) for the coached lanes.

Open water swim

Open water swimming (from late April to the end of September) we currently have the following venues:

Southwater country park (Cripplegate lane, Horsham) on a Monday night from 6.00-7.30. This is a free session, changing and showers available.

We share this venue with a few tri clubs so if you decide to come along you will see everyone getting changed on the floating jetty so come along and introduce yourself. Clubs have specific swim hats ours are red.

Ardingly reservoir - on a Saturday morning 08:30 - 10:00. Cost is £3.00 (bring the correct change please). Safety boat cover, changing and showers available.

Follow the path past the club house along the line of boats to the very end and you will see the floating jetty.

Weir Wood Reservoir - Forest Row RH18 5HT. Tuesday evenings at 19:00hrs and on Sundays at 18:00hrs. The venue is also open three afternoons a week in the summer for swimming and boat hire.

Cost is £5.00, changing and showers available. Call Marcus on 07962 207547

Sea Swimming

We also do sea swimming but this is arranged on an individual basis and there will be something on the forum about it.

You must have filled out the Mid Sussex Triathlon Club  Open water Swimming Session Indemnity/Waiver form before swimming.

Club rides

These is set up on a add hock situation and there will be forum postings. There is a weekly ride going out either on a Sunday or Saturday again catering for all.

Turbo

How do you get that PB or personal Goal for next year? Turbo hard through the winter. Turboing is much better in a group as you are able to go much harder so our group Turbo training sessions are run  every Wednesday from the 2nd Nov and start at 20:00 finishing at 21:30 (don't worry you can finish early if you want) it's at Warden Park School, Broad Street, Cuckfield, RH17 5DP.

Directions: When you get to the school stay right, go past all the cars on the left and the school sign on the right.

Follow it round to the right into another car park (opposite the buildings entrance). Follow this down past the halls and then go left (very dark here you will need a torch) into another small car park.

Continue along the length of the building and you will see a small path going up to the left follow that to the double blue doors in front of you (not the ones on the left). Do not bang on them before 20:00 as other people will be using the hall.

These sessions are free the club pays for the hire of the hall and it is run by volunteers (non MSTC members are encouraged to take part but will be charged £2). We have a mix of leaders for the sessions (Dougie, Steve B and Steve Mac) so the style tends to alternate.

The floor is a cushioned type so you will need to put a sheet of ply or a strong mat under your turbo to avoid any dents. You will NOT be allowed to take part if you do not have sturdy floor protection to stop the Turbo's denting the cushion floor.

Don't forget to bring with you water/energy drink, towel, Heart Rate monitor (optional), bike and turbo. If you need any of these please let me know.

Info:

Other training sessions are organised by groups within the club, so that individuals can choose to concentrate on different aspects of Triathlon and fit the training in with their work/social life.
