Mid Sussex Triathlon 2008

Entry Conditions:

The first 300 entries received will automatically receive a place, which will be confirmed on the "Entries so far" list on the website once the payment has been cleared.

Payment can either be made by cheque, made payable to Mid Sussex Triathlon Club, or via Paypal for entries through the website.

The closing date for entries is 13th June 2008 or when the race is full, no entries will be accepted after this time.

Race Terms & Conditions:

I accept that taking part in this event is by its nature hazardous and contains certain inherent risks. These risks include but are not limited to the risk I will suffer injury and damage arising out of a crash while racing during the cycle section, there are risks of drowning associated with the swim section and there is the risk due to the actions of other competitors or spectators I will suffer injury. There are many other foreseeable risks to which I consent. I accept I owe a significant duty of care to all the other competitors and all the spectators of the event. I will exercise all reasonable care to avoid causing death, injury or loss to any such persons and will indemnify Mid Sussex Triathlon Club and the British Triathlon Federation Ltd from and against any liability found against them arising out of my negligent or reckless acts. Racing in a triathlon event requires fitness and skill. I confirm I have done sufficient training to ensure I am fit enough to cope with the demands of this event and my technical skills are adequate for the diverse requirements of such a competition. I acknowledge the event organiser has relied on this statement (in its entirety) in accepting this entry to the event and if I was unable or unwilling to agree to all the matters set out above in this statement of responsibility the event organiser would not allow me to compete. All statements of fact are true.

Non BTF Members:

If you are not a British Triathlon Federation (BTF) member, you are required to purchase a day membership to take part in a BTF sanctioned event. A day membership provides you with civil liability insurance cover during the event. The cost of the day membership for this event is £3.00.

If you will not be a member of the BTF on race day then please read below:

I agree to my name and address being forwarded to the BTF for the sole purpose of registering my day membership and providing insurance cover. I agree to abide by the conditions of membership and rules of the BTF. (Details of rules are published on www.britishtriathlon.org or by contacting the BTF on 01509 226161).

Cancelations and Refunds:

If through injury or other reason you cannot take your place, notify the organiser by letter or e-mail. If this notification is received by the 13th June 2008, your entry fee will be refunded by cheque, there will be no refunds after this date.
